Annual Events at Universal Studios/Citywalk/IOA

Universal opened in 1990 and is a real working motion picture studio with a fantastic array of rides, shows, movie sets and attractions from your favourite movies. Not everyone is aware that in addition to this Universal/Islands of Adventure/Citywalk also run a series of fabulous annul events.
Universal Studios is located on Universal Boulevard which is at the top end of International Drive close to ' Wet n Wild' and just off the I4. Parking for Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Citywalk is in a multi storey enclosed garage complex with moving sidewalks, escalators and elevators. Once you have parked your car, just follow the signs and moving sidewalks, eventually you will reach ground level and as you walk you start meeting other excited guests on the way to the Parks. If you walk about 400 yards you can go either left to ' Islands of Adventure' or right to ' Universal Studios' . Citywalk is on your left.
If you turn to the right you will see the massive Universal entrance someway ahead of you. As you go towards the entrance you pass by shops and restaurants on your right with a lagoon on the left. You will then cross the Universal bridge and see the famous Universal Studios rotating Globe. Lots of guests take photos of their party standing under the globe.
During February and March you can join in the celebration of Bob Marley' s life with Caribbean food, street festivals and live concerts at the Reggae Fest at Universal Citywalk.
Also during February/March you can join in the Mardi Gras. This is a spectacular parade, with live music, superstar concerts and beads and more beads! This is a party not to be missed.
You can celebrate Independence Day on July 4th with one of the most dazzling fireworks displays in Florida set to some of America' s favourite music.
In September you can go to Rock the Universe where you will see over a dozen of contemporary Christian music' s top acts for a two night festival of rock, music and ministry.
During October if you want to be scared do not miss Halloween Horror Nights. Here you will find some of the scariest Halloween events in the entire country. There are not any children ticket prices as this is quite a scary event so if you want to take children you have to buy the adult ticket but you need to be aware the children could be frightened.
Enjoy the Beer Festival at Citywalk in November and December There are150 Beers, over 2, 500 tons of food and over 20, 000 watts of music at the largest annual beer festival in Florida.
At Christmas take the little ones to Grinchmas. Dr. Seuss’ tale comes to life as Seuss Landing in Islands of Adventure is transformed into the festive town of Whoville complete with snow.
At this time you can also enjoy Macy' s Holiday Parade which is a showcase of America' s favourite parade. It features authentic helium balloons and floats direct from Macy' s Annual Thanksgiving celebration.
Finally you can celebrate New Year' s Eve at Universal' s CityWalk with live music, food, unlimited access to CityWalk' s clubs and a champagne toast celebration.
