The Escape Lounge - Terminal 2 Manchester Airport
Florida Guide > Travelling
Are you looking for an oasis of peace and relaxation before your flight to the magical world of Disney World? Well, if you are flying from Manchester Terminal 2 then look no further than The Escape Lounge.
We always book this executive lounge if we are flying from Manchester. The Escape Lounge is an oasis of relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the departure gates, lovely comfortable chairs and a fantastic way to start your holiday in style.
This lounge is open to everyone above the age of 6 and depending on which web-site you book from costs can be from £15 per adult and £7. 50 for each child. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The dress code is smart casual but specifically excludes the wearing of football shirts, baseball caps and shorts. The lounge is open daily from 6am to 9pm 7 days a week. If you haven’t had chance to book on-line then they will sometimes take walk-in’s but this will depend on how busy they are and I personally wouldn’t want to chance this.
As soon as you have cleared security there are signposts in the terminal to the Executive Lounge areas. You will walk past the main duty free shopping area on your way so you can buy those essential items. If you can’t find the lounge area any member of staff will point you in the right direction.
There are complimentary refreshments for breakfast include toast, cereal, Danish pasteries, fresh fruit salad, fruit, cheese selection and biscuits. Towards lunch time there are also crisps, boxed salads available.
To drink there is the normal fare of coffee, tea, cappuccinos, hot chocolate, various fruit juices, coke and lemonade. You can also help yourself to complimentary alcoholic drinks including wines, all types of different spirts, largers and beer.
The food is well replenished and makes a change from the overpriced food in the terminal itself. You are allowed to stay for up to 3 hours and there are plenty of electrical sockets so you can use your laptop and connect to the complimentary wi-fi facility. A good selection of newspapers and magazines are Flight information is also displayed on the monitors so you know when you have to make your way to the departure gate.
Whilst there isn’t very much to occupy the children they can of course watch the TV. In addition there are a small number of computers that you can use.
In summary The Escape Lounge is well worth the money you pay, a perfect place to relax and start your holiday in style. Spoil yourself ? You deserve it!
