Busch Gardens is a lovely blend of what seems like all of the Orando area theme parks and well worth the rather longer drive to get there.
And in 2012 there wil be even more reasons for visiting this colourful theme park.
A lot of thrill seekers have been anxiously waiting for the debut of the newest coaster and, at last, it is here!
The ride is called ' Cheetah Hunt' and is a multi launch coaster that takes you through African terrain at dizzying speeds of up to 60 miles an hour.
As if this were not enough, it then dumps you 37 metres down an abyss. This ride takes three and a half minutes but feels like lifetime! Adrenaline junkies will love it!
For those of you visiting Florida before the 24th of march there is a concert series taking place. These take place on 4 days of the week (not sunday to tuesday)
Here is a rundown of the remaining dates
February 29th to march 3rd The Ventures
March 7th to march 10th Rita Coolidge
March 14th to march 17th The Grass Roots
March 21st to march 24th Marilyn Mc Coo and Billy Davies junior.
The shows take place at 11. 30 a. m, 1 p. m, and 3. 30 p. m. You can pick up your ticket at the box office.
That is not the end of the live music at Busch, however. From 15th of april to the 6th of may they are having a fiesta. This is called Viva la Musica and there is no charge for this event.
Lots of live Latin music, of course but also the complementary food will be on sale. You can also view the arts and crafts that they will have on display.
The Serengetti Safari is not new but I would like to mention it.
These groups are limited to 16 people and a guide takes you round the animals and this is the chance to ask all those questions that have intrigued you for years.
You will take lots of close up photos in the half hour that is allowed and at a cost of only $30 this is a great way to make the day really special. If you have children under 5 years of age they will not be allowed to join in.
