Boggy Creek Air Boat Rides

Florida Guide > Other Activities

Why not try a different thrill ride,

Boggy Creek airboat rides are at Boggy creek you get there by going down hyway192 into Saint Cloud the airboat rides are sign posted from there and are easy to find.

You can pre purchase tickets from http://www. park-tickets. com? villa=1156

Or you can go there direct and buy tickets from them. Some times ther is a wait time or you might be asked to go back in the afternoon so it would be best to call ahead and check availabilaty.

Once on board its time for a great thrill ride you go skidding and sliding forwards, and side ways lifting you out of the water and through the tall swampy grass with the loud noise of the air behind you.

You will be given goggles to wear as the boat goes so fast that with the wind in your eyes it would be hard to see anything with out the goggles

You may see all kinds of fish, birds; snakes even alligators in you are lucky, (or unlucky as the case may be)we have seen several alligators on each visit plus lots of different birds the guide will point out any wild life so don’t forget the camera.

We have always found that mornings are the best time to go to see the local wild life as it is most active in the mornings. We have found the afternoons find alligators more sleepy and you find it hard to spot them

The speed in which you fly over the swamps is awesome and might not suit small children.

The ride takes about 30 mins to 1 hour depending on the guide you get and how busy they are but it is defiantly worth a visit. we have been on several occasions and still find it a great thrill ride and it is such a change from the Disney rides

They also have a snack bar there but from there we often take a picnic and head down in to Kissimmee and have a walk round East Lake Toho.

Or if you prefer you can visit Saint Cloud it is a small town by comparison to Kissimmee that too has a pretty lake with a sand beach with a jetty where people fish, last time we were there lots of people were fishing for largemouth bass.

We have found a day out doing this is a great alternative to the hype of Disney and it is a more back to nature educational kind of thing and the kids do love it.
