Must do’s at Magic Kingdom

As villa owners our guests often ask us what are the ‘must do’ attractions at each of the parks. Obviously this does depend on the age and make up of your party however these are our ‘must do’ rides and attractions at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom is so vast and has so many rides and attractions that we have real problems picking our favourites here!
However after much debate…..
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Pilot your craft through the cosmos and fire your laser gun to earn vital points for your promotion through the ranks, nobody stays a Junior Space Ranger for long!
This is my son’s all time favourite and we always have to ride at least 3 times on a trip to Magic kingdom.
Space Mountain
Fantastic indoor roller coaster. I’m not good with heights but because this is in the dark, although it’s not pitch black, I can ride this without feeling ‘wobbly’
If you have little ones in your party or even less adventurous big ones! You can take a ride on the Tomorrowland Transit authority, which briefly passes through Space Mountain, so you don’t totally miss the experience.
Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
These have been nicknamed the washing machine and tumble drier in our family! Try them and you might see why!
We always go on Splash Mountain first, jump in your hollowed out long and follow Brer Rabbit as he tries to escape the clutches of Brer Fox and Brer Bear then hold on tight as you take the final plunge into the ….. Sssh I mustn’t give it all away!
Next it’s onto Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for a bone-rattling trip through the Old West!
It’s a Small World
This caused the most heated debate as to it’s inclusion on the ‘must do’ list.
But it’s a classic, if somewhat corny, Disney ride and whilst old hands may not want to ride on every visit, if you’re a Magic Kingdom newbie, it has to be done.
Mickey’s Philharmagic
One of our favourite 3D shows. Mickey and Donald take you on an amazing musical experience.
Cinderellabration
Magic Kingdoms newest show. Featuring all the Disney Princesses in fabulous costumes and with all your favourite Disney classic songs.
The princesses are gathered together to see Cinderella being crowned a Princess.
This is definitely ‘one for the girls’
Wishes
This has to be the ‘Ultimate’ firework display. There simply aren’t enough superlatives to adequately describe this amazing display, suffice to say no trip to Magic Kingdom would be complete without staying to watch this.
