Our Long Day at Hollywood Studios Part 1
Florida Guide > Hollywood Studios
As the girls have got older they have become less interested in the Magic Kingdom (although a visit is always necessary) and more interested in Hollywood Studios. When we visited our villa last March they were only staying for eight days so only one visit to the Park was possible hence we decided to start the day as early as possible.
We decided to be at the park at opening time or as the US residents call it “rope drop”. We parked and were surprised when we boarded the trolley bus how busy it already was.
When we reached the Park we quickly passed the ticket booths as we had already bought our tickets only to find the entrance was crowded and soon we realised that many visitors like us arrived early to maximise their Fastpasses.
The girls and I quickly dashed to get Fastpasses for Aerosmith leaving my parents (after they had finished admiring the Mickey topiary! ) to go for a coffee and wait for us at Fairfax Fare on Sunset Boulevard. As soon as we got our Fastpasses we dashed back to the Tower of Terror where luckily the waiting times were only 30 minutes. However by the time we came off the ride the waiting time had increased to one and half hours so we were so pleased we had got to the Park so early. It was only 10. 00am and already the Park was getting very crowded.
As soon as we left the Tower we realised there was only 10 minutes to the start of our Fastpass time so we went straight over to Aerosmith.
Once we had been to Aerosmith which was amazing and Tower or Terror which was not as scary as I had expected we were hungry so went to join my parents at Fairfax Fare. We opted for some coffees and cokes and shared salads and burgers. Of course the girls could not resist the Mickey Cookies drizzled in chocolate.
Having eaten we went over to the Fantasmic entrance as we had not had time to check on the way in if the show was on that evening unfortunately it was not. We were disappointed but have seen the show many times but if you have not I recommend you try to visit the Park on a day when the show is on. You can either check this out online or in one of the many brochures you will find in Orlando with the Disney Park times in.
More of our day in Part 2.
