Orlando Premium Outlets - Vineland Avenue

Florida Guide > Shopping

If you have not been to this shopping outlet, then do give it a try. The Orlando Premium Outlet on International Drive, is rather a disappointment as after shopping in one area, you have to get in your car and drive to the next section, which is not very convenient. At the Vineland Avenue venue – at Lake Buena Vista- it is all under the one area. Although not under cover as a shopping mall is, it does have a type of cover over the entrances to the stores so if it rains you can keep to the edges and not get wet.

It has recently extended to give even more high quality shopping. The extension now includes a multi story car park (a great improvement) and a childrens play ground. Most of the stores are discount stores that offer the same goods as the normal version but at huge discounts and at sale time even more discounts. The biggest sales are usually in November in the run up to Black Friday, which is the day after Thanksgiving. This is the major sales day of the year for the Americans.

They now also have a food hall which is centred in the middle of the precinct and offers a small range of choices of food such as burgers, Chinese, Italian and a Starbucks. A few small coffee and milk shake stalls have sprung up around the area as well as a few of the stores which sell pretzels (The Big Apple NY Pretzel) or The Nestle Toll House Café. Of course do not forget the ice cream shops and sweet shops – yummy!

The stores are far too numerous to mention but some examples are Polo Ralph Lauren, Gap, Levi and Tommy Hilfiger in the mid price range. Then there are the very exclusive stores of Max Mara, Burberry, Escada, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Lacoste and Saks Fifth Avenue. There are a large selection of shoe shops, jewellery shops and perfume and make-up shops. (I have never seen so many beauty product shops in one place before). Lots of stalls selling all those things you never knew you needed, like jewellery cleaning lotions, hand creams, novelty t shirts and the like are dotted around.

The children are not forgotten as there is a good range of childrens wear stores and shoe shops. Gift shops and home and wear shops are plentiful as are the sunglasses shops.

It is a good way to spend an afternoon or morning, just browsing or shopping.
