Prime Outlets
Fancy a day of shopping where you don’t really have to shop until you drop, as all the stores are in easy walking distance? Then take a trip to Prime Outlets at the end of International Drive. Driving there is easy, just take I-4 to exit 75A - UNIVERSAL and follow this onto International Drive and turn left. The center is located at the North End of International Drive.
There is lots of free parking split between the two shopping areas. The malls are both outside, but have covered walk ways between the stores, so you may not need to take an unberella for those afternoon rain showers. The mall is open 10am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 9pm on Sundays.
First, stop by guest services and pick up a discount coupon book, you should be able to get one of these free of charge by using a coupon which can be found in one of the many local coupon books which are readily available in wal mart, restaurants etc. You can also download and view current offers online at the Prime Outlet web site. There are some good additional discounts to be had for the thrifty shopper, who really feels great about securing a bargain! Guest services provide maps of the mall, which helps save time if you can find the specific stores you require. They also hire out wheelchairs and strollers and have a foreign currency exchange.
There are many large stores and well known brand names available at Prime Outlets, such as Nike Factory Store, Saks Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic and Polo Ralph Lauren to name a few, as well as smaller stores. My daughter found some great bargains in both Tommy Hilfiger and Juicy Couture and my younger child enjoyed getting much more for her holiday dollars in the Disney store.
The food court is centrally located and is inside so it is nice and cool. The food court has a range of about eight different eateries. Dotted around the mall are also coffee shops such as Starbucks, Ice cream and candy stores as well as restaurants where you can get a full meal.
Prime outlets is huge, but if you find yourself needing more, then head a little way back along International Drive to the Outlet Market place, again with free parking. Here you will find a smaller selection of shops, mainly designer apparel and sportswear, Nine West is located here along with Sketchers and a Samsonite clearance store, so you can buy an extra suitcase to take home all your shopping!
The outlet Marklet place is open daily from 10am to 9pm, and if all this extra shopping has made you feel hungry there is a “Dippin Bread café” and Texas De Brazil restaurant located here as well.
