Applebee’s was founded in Atlanta in 1980. and has restaurants worldwide operating in 49 states and 17 countries.
Along the Hwy 27 at Berry town centre there has now opened a new Applebee’s. Ideally situated for all the communities along the Hwy 27 and even from the US192 although there is also one there as well.
There are plenty of parking spaces and although you can ring up to book there usually isn’t too much of a wait even when they are busy.
If you haven’t yet tried one, I strongly recommend you do the atmosphere is really nice, the staff are very friendly, it is a very welcoming place, a cheery atmosphere but above all the food is terrific without being over expensive, real good value for money. An excellent menu and very good quality food.
They are known as the neighbourhood restaurants as the locals use them as well as the tourists, and that is always a good sign! In each restaurant there is a neighbourhood story and photographs reflecting local schools, heroes, memorabilia and local history, which therefore makes each one unique.
The menu is amazing, and varied, the steaks are with interesting combinations as well as the favourites. Chicken, shrimp, salads, pasta, ribs and fish, even a full weight watchers menu is available giving you the point’s totals with each item. From lunch time snacks of wraps, soup & salads, they have over 60 combinations to choose from, to full blown feasts with numerous starters and delicious mouth watering deserts, you will find it all here! they also have a great cocktails and drinks menu to round off the evening nicely.
For a birthday celebration or anniversary there is nowhere nicer to go, likewise it is just as suitable for an everyday meal after a hard day at the parks.
They have a great kids menu and all the kids get a colouring page and crayons to keep them occupied while they are waiting for their meal.
Another new interesting concept is the way they do their carry out menu, or as they call it carside to go, you ring up and place your order and when you collect it, there is a special parking space and a server will bring it right out to your car, I can’t believe they encourage us to be so lazy!
But having said that if you want to pick up a meal to eat at the villa what a way to end the day !
