Far from being Chilli I think it is HOT HOT HOT
There is several of this chain of restaurants around Orlando, the nearest one to me at the moment is the one at Champions gate, a relatively new one. There is another now being build, due to open this summer at Cagen crossing which will be as near if not nearer, certainly an easier drive as it will be just along the main US27 near the Walmarts, great I can then combine a shopping trip until it’s time to eat and then go next door to Chilli’s for a great meal, what could be better.
To get to the Champions gate one, simply go along the US27 until you reach the Ronald Regan parkway (Cr54) turn left there and go about 3 miles to the left turning to Champions gate. straight along , pass the big Publix and you will see it on the left, turn left into that road and right into the car park. They also have a to go point so you can stop and pick up your food to go back to your villa and “ Chill out “
Their menu is excellent and my favourite starter is the Awesome blossom an onion ring with a difference, loads of crispy onion rings stacked together to make one big one served with a delicious dipping sauce, Ummmmm ! to die for.
The steaks and chicken are all seasoned with their special spices and really good. There is a great selection of salads to choose from too and their menu called the guiltless grill offers meal a little better for you with less fat etc if that is at all possible in Florida! Another great favourite there is the baby back ribs, several choices of sauces to have them cooked with or a mixture of two different ones. There are lots of fish dishes including Salmon and shrimp.
A very popular choice here is the fajitas, served sizzling to the table and a great selection of them, chicken, steak and shrimp or a combination of all three, spiced to perfection a dish I can highly recommend!
The desert as always are superb but I cannot recommend any one, as I have always been far too full to try one! I can however recommend the margarita bar! we will say no more about that!
The children are given a picture to colour in here as well as a lot of other restaurants, sometime they put some of them up on the wall! it keeps them amused while they are waiting for the meal to arrive.
So “ Chill Out “ and take a trip to Chilli’s!
