Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Florida Guide > Dining

The Olive Garden Italian Restaurant is one of our family’s favourite places to eat and there are several branches to choose from according to where you are staying. We usually visit the restaurant on West Irlo Bronson Highway (the 192).

You can telephone the branch to make a priority reservation for a table but we always just turn up and have never had to wait any longer than ten or fifteen minutes – just long enough to slowly sip a glass of wine whilst sitting in the evening sun in the garden of the restaurant!

The interiors of the restaurant are bright and spacious and we have always found the servers to be very friendly and polite.

The menu is large and varied and utterly delicious.

You can start with a variety of soups and appetisers but we always opt for the refillable Olive Garden house salad which is tossed in their own signature Italian salad dressing. This dressing is so delicious that they also sell it by the bottle for you to take home – it really is worth it and we always return home with bottles for all the family! (It is worth mentioning to you here that the house salad or homemade soup plus the garlic breadsticks are free with any entrée purchased. )

There is a plentiful supply of lovely warm freshly baked garlic bread sticks which are topped up throughout the evening. You could make a meal just out of these they are that nice.

For your main course you can choose from a wide array of pizzas, filled pasta dishes such as ravioli, tortelloni, lasagne, spaghetti, fettuccini etc. . , steak, pork or chicken dishes or a wide range of fish or shellfish dishes.

If you can’t eat all that is on your plate then you are more than welcome to ask for it to be wrapped “to go” and the staff will box it up for you to take home.

The desert menu is so very hard to choose from as all the dishes are delicious and look so tempting – the home made Tiramisu is to die for and so is the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake!

There is a nice menu for the children to choose from – spaghetti , macaroni and cheese and various pizzas to name but a few. The children’s menu also includes a soft drink in a plastic “Ollie and Friends” cup which they are welcome to take with them after the meal.

If you haven’t the time or inclination to stay for a meal at the restaurant then they offer a “To Go” (takeaway) menu. Simply call them up and place your order and then call round to pay and collect your food – you can then enjoy your taste of Italy whilst sitting in privacy of your own Villa.

Buon Appetito! !
