Cirque Du Soliel ~ La Nouba ~ Down Town Disney
Florida Guide > Disney General
La Nouba, Cirque Du Soliel's astonishing show, housed in it's own purpose built, multi million dollar theatre at Down Town Disney, is quite simply an un-missable and totally exhilarating experience for all the family.
With a modern day combination of breath taking circus and acrobatic skills, combined with ultra high tech theatricality and a pumping live musical accompaniment, you will instantly fall under the spell of Cirque Du Soliel's gravity defying performers, acrobats, wire walkers, clowns and singers.
What started over twenty years ago as a group of street performers has, through perseverance and an undeniable self belief, become a world wide phenomenon, with troupes of performers on every continent thrilling audiences with their amazing skills, daring and ingenuity. Cirque Du Soliel’s La Nouba at Down Town Disney is without doubt, one of the most spectacular of these shows.
Avante garde, yet perfect for any audience, this twice nightly show, 5 nights a week at 6pm and 9pm, will thrill you from beginning to end.
Dazzling costumes, wild make ups and surreal set designs transport you to another world. A world of infinite possibilities where everything you take for granted is turned on it’s head, leaving you breathless with awe and admiration for the uniquely talented troupe of performers you see before you, who appear to glide effortlessly from one seemingly impossible feat to the next.
Featuring a truly international cast of over 60 performers, La Nouba is the first Cirque Du Soliel show in the world to have it’s own especially designed and constructed theatre. Featuring 1,671 seats, and constructed under the watchful eye of both Cirque Du Soliel’s resident set designer and Walt Disney imagineers, the white concrete and fabric exterior, designed to be reminiscent of a traditional big top, gives no clues as to the rich Vegas style theatre inside.
With state of the art technology, sound and lighting built in and around the horse shoe shaped auditorium and Elizabethan style thrust stage, the stage mechanics and special effects enhance even further what would, by anyone’s standards be, a truly unforgettable show.
Running an hour and a half in length with no interval, La Nouba is not perhaps the cheapest ticket in town, but it is a guaranteed once in a lifetime, must see experience, that you will be talking about long after you have left the theatre.
