My favourite theme show

Florida Guide > Dining

I have some tips for which is the best Theme Show to visit and the reasons why I think this is the best show that Orlando has to offer.

Firstly I would say that they all shows in Orlando offer good value for money but its a question of how many you can afford to take the family to, so this show is the one I picked that I will tell you about and my own personnel experience, and there is no one particular reason why I preferred this show, they all offer something different for the family.

The show in question is with Dolly Parton's "DIXIE STAMPEDE". This is a fabulous show that is based around spectacular horses, buffalos, pig racing and general entertainment from the Dolly Parton singers.

The show starts with what's called the Carriage room opening act, this starts nearly an hour before the main show and when the meals are served.
Its worth getting there early so you can get good seats and watch all the fun and build up, you may even get pulled from the audience to participate in the opening acts. This can be anything from a husband and wife juggling team to singing with the Dolly Parton singers.

After the opening acts in the carriage room you are taken into the massive arena for your dinner and the main show. The food is delicious and includes the following:

  • Dixie Stampede's Original Creamy Vegetable Soup
  • Scrumptious Homemade Biscuit
  • Hot Buttered Corn on the Cob
  • Tasty Herb-basted Potato
  • A Mouth-Watering Tender Whole Rotisserie Chicken
  • Delicious Hickory Smoked Barbecued Pork Loin
  • Dixie's very own Specialty Dessert
  • Beer, Wine, Unlimited Pepsi, tea or coffee

For Vegetarians there is a Lasagna dinner complete with all the trimmings, here is what you get.

  • Generous serving of Lasagna
  • Bountiful Fresh Mixed Fruit Bowl
  • Scrumptious Homemade Biscuit
  • Hot Buttered Corn on the Cob
  • Tasty Herb-basted Potato
  • Dixie's very own Specialty Dessert
  • Beer, Wine, Unlimited Pepsi, tea or coffee

This is all included in the price when you book but there is alternative beers which you would need to pay for. As for the show itself well we were entertained with an opening spectacular horse show with some amazing skills by these magnificent Animals. Then we had the pig and ostrich races, which were an absolute bawl, and the kids will love this as they race the pigs round the track with people on board of course. After this it was the turn of the buffalos and what a sight seeing these huge beasts in the arena stampede round. We then had the Dolly Parton experience with all the singers, cowboys and a procession of carriages parading around the arena, a true spectacle, and not forgetting also there is a Audience rivalry between different sections of the audience, its all friendly and fun for all the family.

The price for the tickets for this fun night is $46.99 for adults and $19.99 for children aged 4-11 This doesn't include sales tax and gratuity.

You can also get money off with vouchers in the Orlando vacation guides that you can pick up from any supermarket or store situated around Orlando and Kissimmee.

Yes I can honestly say it’s a great night out at Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede.
