Seaworld - Part 2
Florida Guide > Sea World
Seamore and Clyde Take Pirate Island
This is a good show for all the family. It features two sea lions, a huge walrus and a couple of cheeky otters. They are trying to find hidden treasure and the actors interact with the animals to put on a show which inevitably goes wrong from time to time but only adds to the fun. Watch these wonderfully trained animals slide, swim and dive through the pool and up onto the pirate ship. The interaction with members of the audience is great fun too. Even the pre-show mime artist is very funny so do get there early for the best seats. There is also a splash zone here as well. You have been warned!
Pets Ahoy
This is a show with non-sea creatures for a change. The fun and training is just as good though. Dogs and cats, ducks and doves, potbellied pigs and a few surprise animal guest stars will give you a show that you will be talking about for a long time afterwards.
A’Lure, The Call of the Ocean
This is a very beautiful, romantic and highly skilful show . You will hear the sirens’ song, that lured sailors to their underwater lairs. It' s a mariner’s story that comes to life with flying athletic performers, aerial tumblers and amazing acrobatics. This show is so good, much of it has been seen on television before.
Shark Encounter
A most popular attraction is the Shark Encounter. Here you will enter a fascinating journey through one of the world’s largest underwater viewing tunnels. You will walk onto a moving walkway and see all the sharks, conga eels and sword fish, among others, swimming all around you. You can even treat yourself to fine dining and a fascinating view into the world of sharks at their full-service restaurant. However you will have to book this.
Outside is a huge tank of Rays some as big a five feet across. These you can feed by purchasing fish food from the kiosk. They even find it funny to swim right round the edge of the tank and flip water up as they go, onto the onlookers. They have obviously been well taught.
Along with all these attractions, there are some lovely walks through areas of Flamingos, Cranes, alligators and turtles to name but a few. There is also a huge fun fair area with rides for the little ones up to 48 inches tall. Photo calls with some of the characters are to be spotted from time to time, Shamu, Penguins or Dolphins.
Dining and shopping is as usual all around the park but do get very busy between 12 and 2 so do try and vary your food stops if you can.
